The coolest Gangnam tribute in the world! Chinese ice sculpture looks just like YouTube rapper Psy
16:39 GMT, 27 December 2012
He has created the first video to become a YouTube blockbuster – reaching one billion views with his Gangnam Style dance sensation.
Now South Korean rapper PSY may have another 'first' accolade to his name.
The rapper has been carved out of snow and made into a giant winter sculpture in Harbin, Heilongjiang, in China.
As part of the annual Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival, PSY is one of the early installations attracting interest from the crowds.
Cold as Ice: A giant snow sculpture of PSY, the South Korean rapper who released Gangnam Style to the world, has been unveiled in China
And so there is no confusion about who the sculpture is meant to be, an actor is seen dancing 'Gangnam Style' in front of the giant piece.
The dance sensation has become a global phenomena thanks to the internet, and even US president Barack Obama and London Mayor Boris Johnson have admitted giving the dance a go.
Now PSY, the creator of the trend, has formed a central piece at one of China's long-standing traditional festivals.
Held since 1963, the north-eastern city is perfect for the event since its Siberian-influenced weather means temperatures are on average -17C in the winter.
Officially, the festival starts January 5th and lasts one month. However the exhibits often open earlier and stay longer, weather permitting.

Ice sculptures will begin to decorate the city at this time of year, but ultimately there are two main exhibition areas.
There are enormous snow sculptures at Sun Island, a recreational area on the opposite side of the Songhua River from the city.
And the separate Ice and Snow World that operates each night, featuring illuminated full size buildings made from blocks of 2–3 feet thick crystal clear ice directly taken from the Songhua River.
Many of the city's parks have ice lantern park touring activities and other activities include Yabuli alpine skiing, winter-swimming in the Songhua River, and the ice-lantern exhibition in Zhaolin Garden.
Uncanny: The resemblance of the giant snow sculpture to the Gangnam Style man himself, is, arguably, uncanny
